OK here's how it is. I have a fan-flick made. It's in .wmv format, but I can't figure out how to get it up on the 'Net. The most common options like YouTube won't work because they limit your length to 10:00 minutes, and this one's 11:35. Am I hosed? Do I need to edit it down to ten minutes ... *cringe*?
I could break it up into halves I suppose ... that would ruin the soundtrack though. It is in three sections: an introductory segment, the main part, and credits. I suppose I could split the two ends off from the middle ... I'd really rather not go that way if I can avoid it though. Any ideas, gang?

Um...have you tried Google Video? I know they take longer vids...not sure about accessibility etc....
Also I read that you can apply for Director Account with You Tube which also allows longer....
I have PhotoB pro, but that's only 10mins...

Thanks for the suggestions ... will keep you posted. Literally. *giggle*
(Later) Thanks again. I'll post a notice when the time is set for release. It'll be later this month. I don't want to spoil the fun just yet.
(Later still) I guess I spoke too soon ... none of those sites appear to work. Maybe I should join al-Qaeda. They don't appear to have any trouble getting their bloody videos up!!
*slinks off in depression*

Finally ... done. Properly done, viewed and checked. To avoid "spoilage" I'll make the link available here when "EC-10ptations And Sins" winds down ... during Thanksgiving weekend most likely.

I was going to recommend Stage 6 as they will accept video of any length, but you can only upload DivX files to there. But you can convery any file to a .divx file with the latest Divx package - www.divx.com/divx/windows/converter/You'll need to create an account at Stage 6 obviously too. Good quality site. stage6.divx.com/You also need to download their web browser plug-in to view the videos.

DivX is a codec for watching those compressed movies. Its kind of like the MP3 of the movie file world.
