Hi All! I've seen the movie for the first time 2 weeks ago and since then, watched it about 4 times, my boyfriend about 10 times, I bought the dvd and changed my all-time favorite computer background to one of Cleric Preston, so I think I'm now a very, very HUGE fan of this movie... I LOVE IT!!! I'm so happy to be here and see that other people have enjoyed that movie as much as me... Great site, great job thanks for putting it up for us to enjoy! you should see a lot of me around A question: I can't watch the movie right now, can anyone give me the exact quotes of what Preston says when he talks about his wife being "processed", when he said that he has 2 kids, his wife was arrested, etc... I want to use it as my signature on another board... Thanks

Hey madtex welcome to the Resistance (mostly against the critics and rabid anti-EQ Matrix fans)... neither of which seems of have spent much time here so its quite peaceful.
If someone doesn't get that info for you by this afternoon, I'll pop in my DVD and get it.

Hi All! ....A question: I can't watch the movie right now, can anyone give me the exact quotes of what Preston says when he talks about his wife being "processed", when he said that he has 2 kids, his wife was arrested, etc... I want to use it as my signature on another board... Thanks Hi Madtex..... These are the quotes: DuPONT: You're a family man, Cleric? PRESTON: Yes, sir.... a boy and a girl. The boy's in the monastery himself, on path to becoming a Cleric. D.: Good. And the mother? P.: My spouse was arrested and incinerated sor sense offese four years ago, sir. D.: By yourself? P.: No sir..... by another. D.: How did you feel about that? P.: I'm sorry. I don't... fully understand, sir. D.: How did you feel? P.: I didn't feel anything. D.: How is it that you came to miss it? P.: I.... I've asked myself that same question, sir. I don't know. D.: A nearly unforgivable lapse, Cleric. I trust you'll be more vigilant in the future. P.: Yes, sir. Well.... hope this can help you..... (but, for sure, this helped me to watch this AMAZING movie one more time ;D)

Don't mention it JenGe .... it was a real pleasure to watch EQ again..... ;D However.... really haven't you ever seen The Crow before?.... It's strange because there was so much rumors (after The Crow 2, actually) about the cause of Brandon Lee's death.... that the movies ended up to become almost a cult....

Nope, I'd really never seen The Crow. I knew about it but was never really interested in it (I think that clown make-up put me off). I caught The Crow - City of Angels by chance on TV a few months ago and really loved it. Several forum members here recommended that I check out the first film but with all the new summer releases I didn't have a chance to...its now amoung my faves. It was interesting to see how much even Matrix & Daredevil pulled from it.

Yes we did watch that one yesterday and he is simply amazing in his role, you're right... I didn't have to twist my boyfriend's arm at all when I told him I wanted to rent it, he remembered better than me how great CB was

In the latter CB's performance was great as well.... and I think I don't have to say any word about EOTS.... it's well known in all the world.

Hello Madtex and welcome! Have a nice time here ;D Oh, you already have I've noticed you're also fan of Queensryche. Cool Thanks for the Welcome, yes, been a fan of the Rÿche for only a bit over a year but if you knew everything I've done since then, you'd think I was a fan for 20 years +... I guess you could say I'm a bit "obsessive"

There's nothing wrong in being obsessive unless you choose to worship a boyband I've been a fan for more than 7 or 8 years. The first cd 'Promised Land' I won in some radio contest and couldn't stop listening. Was hypnotized by Geoff Tate's voice and this specific, very powerful and complex music combined with intelligent lyrics (not really common thing among not only rock bands). I'm glad they didn't sold out and stayed off the mainstream. The music, although ear-friendly, isn't cheap like most of the tunes nowadays... I just love heavy music with a BRAIN! Anyway, nice to see someone crazy about this great band ... and out of curiosity...what things you have done??

well in a bit more than a year, I went to Seattle twice, once last year for the Geoff Tate solo cd release, where I got to meet him and spend 3 days hanging out with him (kinda)... then I bought for about $3000 of stuff on ebay, of course bought all their cds and dvds, then this year, went to 5 shows, including Toronto, Quebec, Portland and the last show of the first tour Seattle, again... seeing them 3 days in a row in Toronto, Montreal, and Quebec and getting to meet them all 3 days, and having Geoff calling me by my name on the 2nd day and every time he saw me after that, all the way in Seattle also was absolutely the best thing that ever happened to me... They are all such wonderful people and Geoff is really so amazing and so nice... ;D Oops sorry for rambling on this site, I'm just so happy with everything that happened to me with those guys in the last year that once I start thinking about it, I can't shut up...

No worries, I'm still able to control myself. But if you still want to share more details, you can send me a PM, so we won't annoy anybody with a subject hardly related to EQ. And JenGe, I know this went a bit out of control and hope you forgive this little digression.

As long as it stays on this thread and doesn't bleed into all the others I don't care. It's an intro thread so have fun getting to know each other...
