I'll be over on Wednesday, landing first in the very hub of all ... spending some time in Brussels. After that I'll be consorting with Mme Evil Genius.
As I see it, the main thing is, select good front people. Networking ... layers ... hide your fingerprints. Let everyone think you're nothing but a harmless crank.

-salutes- Hello there, everyone. The name's Alex and I'm a die-hard fan of EQ. Unfortunately for me, I only discovered this board recently. I sure wish I'd discovered it earlier. About Me: I'm a complete film industry nut and I love anything related to movies. My preferred genre is action/adventure, but I can settle for the occasional (and well-scripted) romantic flick. Favourite Actors: Christian (hmmm, really?), Keanu Reeves, RDJ, Sean Bean. Hobbies: Screen-writing, reading (Clive Cussler is incredible!), watching movies, listening to my iPod, RPing, and generally being a laid-back individual. I'm a pretty relaxed type, I enjoy making tons of friends of the various boards I frequent, and I really hope to have a fun time on here. Cheers! -Alex

Hehe, thanks for the kind welcome, Mirabilis! While I'm on, is there anything a "newbie" like me should know about the boards? There are so many threads and sections, I don't know where to start. ;D

Let me add my greetings, Cleric Stark.
It's all arranged in ... well, sort of haphazard order. The brief descriptions given for each board are pretty accurate. I know my way around fairly well, and can afford you some help if you have particular questions ... you can PM me. Our Moderator hasn't been seen much lately, so PM'ing her might afford unsatisfactory results for the impatient.
Unlike groupies of some films, like the Star Wars and Star Trek movies, we don't have a strictly 'canonical' regimen here about 'what is EQ' and 'what is not EQ.' Some people like Libby are experts on what's in the script. Others, like me, treat it with a touch of espieglerie and/or je ne sais quoi. You will find your own style and your own approach if you stick around. No one will jump down your throat, though you might get a mild word of correction if you say something was in the movie that wasn't, or vice versa. Or you might not. It's all good.

Hello Aedh, and thank you for the kind welcome. Wow ... I can certainly tell you're one of the originals on here. You really do know your way around! Well, I guess I've only got one question ... are there RPing sections on here? I think I may have stumbled over one or two recently, but I wasn't sure. And if there are, people invent characters that don't exist in the film, right? And don't worry, I'm not going to go around attempting to boast that I know everything about the film and make a complete idiot out of myself, haha, I'm just a dedicated fan who's looking to interact with others like myself. ;D

Well about the cleric coat... My mum is trying to make one for me first, but is still looking for the right material and it's hard to find... It will need some time until it will be made I suppose. Very pity... Nevertheless, welcome at the boards, newlings: tk9876 and Cleric Emma Wilson.

Hey,
I'm CheyTacHack, you can call me Nick or Col. I first saw Equilibrium about 3 years ago, and have loved it ever since. I like watching good movies (I have a list of something like 10), playing soccer, listening to music (my current phase is on Killswitch Engage), target practice (modified M9s whenever I get an opportunity... =P) , practicing guitar, and researching topics that interest me. I'm 14 (Yeah I know, probably one of the youngest here) and I can't wait to get to know these fellow fans better. Thanks,
CTH

Welcome to the boards CheyTacHack, I guess I've been the youngest here before you came along, but like Mira already told you, age doesn't matter. Feel welcome and make yourself a "virtual" home here. You're playing Soccer, though I prefer calling it Football, and you seem to be an American, which is a combination I haven't met often so far. And by the way, what does this name mean?

You're playing Soccer, though I prefer calling it Football, and you seem to be an American, which is a combination I haven't met often so far. And by the way, what does this name mean?I actually prefer calling it Football as well, but I assumed we had a few fellow Americans here, and didn't want to cause confusion. Anyway, I don't play on a team or anything, but I love playing with friends or driving it into the neighbor's yard alone. =D My name is just a combination of a name, and a useless rhyme. CheyTac is the shortened version of Cheyenne Tactical, a long range precision rifle company (They actually make the best rifles in the world). The hack is just for a rhyme, and to have a bit more than just a name. Thank you all for your welcomes. From my viewing, the board looked close to dead, but I'm glad to see there's still a few active on goers. CTH

I recently watched EQ and became enamored by it. I searched the web and came across this community, luckily. Searching through the threads, I found most to be very old, and I thought with much adieu that perhaps I had stumbled across a dead community. I left a response anyhow, just to see. Imagine my surprise when I got a reply I suppose now I will introduce myself. Being the Net, for now, My name is Striker, I am 34 years old and am in the Investigative businesses. I enjoy movies with deep meaning or potential meaning.... (EQ). I enjoy books, (sense offense), particularly The Art of War, The 48 Laws of Power, the Art of Seduction, and The 33 Strategies of War. I play chess when I can, am online when I am not working. I have a Hamster whom I have called Sir Peanut, however I may be changing his name to Houdini for unspoken reasons -.- This is my introduction I suppose. Glad to see I have found there are some still around here.

Welcome, Cleric Striker. Your desk is over there, pre-optimised for your convenience and efficiency. Your coat has been ordered, and you may draw your temporary training Berettas from the armorer in the afternoon. Punctuality and dedication are the norm here. Oh, and mind your manners around Father. She can get a bit touchy sometimes. (I suspect she may be off the dose.)

Welcome aboard Striker! ;D ;D ;D This is the best place to meet some lovely and unusual characters from all over the world, connected by their love to a movie, which is way better then known... unfortunately. You speaking/writing of many old posts made me think of myself and why I'm recently spending so less time on the internet. I'm checking in regularly, but I haven't been posting quite a while. It's strange, but internet in general has lost most of it's fascination to me. I'm using it at work and when I'm at home, real life or movies and books keep my attention much more. Well it's probably just a phase, but it's quite a change accourding to my "internet behaviour" two years ago. But nethertheless we won't leave this place completely empty. We're all coming back, some after years... but we all come back. How pathetic that sounds... usually not my style, but I think I should post more again, it would be a pety if this board would be dead. I guess I should write a new "Memories of Father" chapter soon. and practice some Gun Kata.

No matter, manners, punctuality, dedication to the Cause, to Father's Will, Faith.. of course! The day has started out efficient, much to my surprise, How is everyone else's day moving along? Efficient, I assume?

Hafa Adai!
I'm David Flores, originally from Guam. I first saw Equilibrium about six years ago. I am an admitted gun nut and a recovering gear slut. Unfortunately, I occasionally suffer from relapses which cause me to go out and aquire all manner of tactical equipment which is steadily filling up every corner of my spare bedroom. I can find use for all of it, but never at the same time. Oh well, such is life. I am in the US Army, and am currently stationed with the 25th Infantry Division, 'Tropic Lightning', out of Schofield Barracks, HI. If anyone would like to get together and discuss tactical or firearms stuff, hit me up.

Hi, I'm Rachel and i've just turned 27 years old. I'm from south east England I accidently came across the movie afew months ago when it was on TV...I was totally hooked from the get go. Ordered the DVD straight away from amazon after the film had finished and now watch it most days. I always pick up something new everytime. I also downloaded the soundtrack which gets listened to everyday . Unforunately i can't seem to "convert" people to be fans of the film but i continue to try . For me personally, its completely set off a fasination with our emotions and how our behaviour is just basically dominated by our emotional state at any given time. I wish prozium existed as i believe it would benefit some members of society. Anyway, enough rabbling . Really glad i came across this website and other like minded souls. ;D ;D ;D

Welcome, cleric84. Your desk has been pre-optimised for efficiency, and Training Katas begin every morning punctually at 0600, after your morning interval and a healthy breakfast of soy biscuits washed down with Pero. Your Cleric Coat has been ordered, and your work of spreading the message of reason, peaceful order, work, and the dangers of Sense-Offence, is noted with approbation.
