"Looks like Wolf was right!" Wolf was 99% right. Its only an m4 for the closup though. Watched it about 20 times, and I am sure I've watched it about 20 times now myself and I don't think that the non-close up ones are clear enough to determine the type. Can you get a screenshot of what you are referring to because at this point 99% close ups beat out 1% unclear long shots? Besides the blocking does show that the two guns were switched which is actually what this was all about. There is a perfect reason why one type of gun was switch to the other...that is what the "goof" was about. How the close up of one gun became the close up of another one... "In the scene where the police arrest Preston's wife, it appears that Preston takes a Colt M4 rifle from one of the police and [orange]than points the same weapon at another's throat.[/orange]"It is NOT the same weapon...this has been explain and shown not only in the film itself but in the practice blocking.

Sorry, dont have my dvd right now, so no pics. But there is a simple way to determine that it is not an m4 (other than in the fingersnapping closeup). There is no m4 model with a full stock. The stock on an m4 is telescopic, and has a very uneven/jagged design. The weapon used (not in said closeup) has a smooth fullstock. The two weapons are very much alike in design, so it is very hard to see the difference. But the stock gives it away.

Update: Upon even more viewings something else has come to my attention. It is actually not an m4 in the closeup, but an m16. A friend made this picture:

I did take it into consideration that it was an M16, but you couldn't see much at the close up.

Last night, I had to bring my husband in on it (he was in the Marines for 14 years, and now in the Army Guard for two years). He confirmed that the close-up looked like the area near the stock and the long handguards made it an M16-A2, so Guest Cleric was right. I also watched that scene several times and it looked like an AR-70 all the way through except for the close-up. I also watched the part where the switch was supposed to have occurred a few times, where Preston pins the sweeper against the wall. Using the step feature on my DVD player, I could actually see the AR-70 he had snatched from the first sweeper disappear, then the second sweeper's rifle whirl around while Preston puts his hands on it and pins the sweeper against the wall with it. Very cool!

It'll take me awhile to update that page since I currently do not have an on-line connection at my house. I'm suspending updates for the most part until I do...

Good luck, Guest Cleric. I've looked and looked, and they're hard to find. Please let me know if you find any... I'm interested in working Airsoft models.

Poor Guest Cleric! Always bid the highest amount you're willing to pay for the item... plus an extra 5% just to be sure. If you lose, then you know someone else was willing to pay more for it than you. Or snipe.

1. Your image needs to be online. I can host it if you need me to. 2. Get the addie for that image 3. use "img" tags. Be sure to close it though. You can also just push this button in the controls to get the tags...

Want me to do other one of these for ultra voilet when it comes out?
From the trailer I can see some Heckler and Koch G36c carbines, a Colt M4, A General Electric Minigun and some Sig 552 carbines.
BTW i don't have the High Definition trailer so i can't really make out much.

Simon, thanks for the offer. Hold that thought for now because I'm really not sure how much I want to do with UV on this site. I don't think I can handle a fansite for two films.
