Yeah, I tried looking on Kazaa but that would get messy with all the listings. If someone could IM me my SN on AOL is JnEricsonx, I'm on a cable modem so I could download the tracks from someone pretty quick. Thanks.

Don't use kazaa or kazaa lite if you can avoid it. You can download all 51 tracks from my website. You will need an ftp client but there are free ones like ws_ftp out there. The instructions for ftping directly to where the tracks are hosted is as follows. ftp site ftp.ravish.us username cleric@ravish.us password bale to see a screen cap of what this would look like in your client go to www.ravish.us/login.jpgPlease read through the entire thread before you start asking questions. People are having to repeat the same information endlessly. Angel This quote is from page four, I keep finding the need to repost...if you want the soundtrack, you should read the whole thread (please!). That being said, THANK YOU to Angel, who has lived up to the name quite well. I got the entire soundtrack in less than 5 minutes. I've been listening to it on my iPod continuously since... The track listing of corresponding names to real track names was a great help too. Thanks to everyone for sharing this great music!

I changed the title of the thread but I'm not sure that will help. Maybe I should just lock it up...

Ok hi everyone! I am completely new to this site and only found it because I am DESPARATELY looking for the soundtrack to Equilibrium. Low and behold I find this site and this discussion and would LOVE to get it. However when I go on Kazaa (newest version) I can find nothing but one 30 sec segment. Can someone please email me the file(s)? Or tell me where exactly to look so that I can download them and get them? Thank you so much! Email :Legolasslady14 @yahoo.com Thanks whoever answers this.

The track listing of corresponding names to real track names was a great help too. Thank's...you're most welcome. It took me quite some time to put it together, but it was worth knowing the correct tracknames. Also, thank's to all who's sharing this soundtrack with others for doing so! Peace Dude

Yeah, great job on the track list, but are you sure that it's accurate? I'm only saying this because I noticed a track or two where the music doesn't really fit the title of the song. For example, you have "Track 45" titled as " Master Gun Kata Fight" but the music during the fight scene is actually Track 46. I was just wondering that maybe it got mixed up?

I think I may have a problem.
Every time I try to log in to Angel's FTP I get this:
I'm using SmartFTP and I've tried multiple times to access it, each time re typing in the the FTP address, username, and password.
Unless I got the password wrong every time (and I tried about six times or so), I think I may have a problem.
Note: I'm using a cable modem, connected to a router and I know I'm behind at least one firewall (Norton Firewall). Probably three, the one my provider sets up for all it's users and another basic one set up in the router (LynkSys Router or something like that).

I've asked a friend of mine to host the whole 51 tracks on his PC.
I have the soundtracks and I'm going to give them to my friend. You could download them via Winmx.
please, hold on... I'll keep you posted as soon as it's all settled.

I just sent an email to someone from the board that I'll repost here: Firstoff, you need to know if you have an ftp program. I had problems using the link in Internet Explorer myself, so I had to download a program. I downloaded WS_FTP, which you can get here: download.com.com/3000-2160-1572132.html?tag=lst-0-1The pogram is free, and really easy to use (at least, I think so). You can install it on any version of windows (95, 98, ME, NT, 2000, XP). When you load up the program, click on the NEW button on the right hand side. Enter in: Profile Name: eq Host Name/Address: ftp.ravish.us Host Type: Automatic detect User ID: cleric@ravish.us Password: bale (check the save password) and that's it! Click on the OK button on the bottom, and you should be connected! If not, or if you get an error, Angel's ftp server may be down (meaning she's not sharing files at the moment). You'll just have to keep trying until you can connect. I tried in the middle of the night and couldn't, but have been able to connect during the day (business hours) multiple times. Hope this helps, and let me know if you need anything else! gwen

Every time I try to log in to Angel's FTP I get this: I'm using SmartFTP and I've tried multiple times to access it, each time re typing in the the FTP address, username, and password. Firewalls and routers aren't an issue, either the password is incorrect (make sure it's lowercase, it is definitely case sensitive! However, because you’re getting a failure error, I’m pretty sure you’re not set to passive transfer. You need to make sure you’re setup for passive transfer (probably in advanced settings for your ftp client) some ftp sites don’t allow you to connect if you’re set to anything but passive transfer (which means you can only download and not upload). I’m wishing I had my box up and running, or I’d host the darn thing myself, via http so all you’d have to do is click on a link… ftp can be confusing for people that don’t use it on a regular basis. This wouldn’t be such a big deal, at least for me, if what we are trying to do were legal. Unfortunately, the man who created this score isn’t seeing a penny for our enjoyment. (And I have yet to find a tip jar for the composer, so I can’t directly support him). I’m not about to share it on Kazaa myself, but if you can show me that you’re a registered member on these boards and have a cable/DSL connection I’d be more than happy to help via IM/ICQ/Yahoo/MSN chats. These files are big and will crash most people’s inboxes so email really isn’t an option… Just trying to help!

Thanks for the info about downloading all that stuff. I'm planning on trying it tonight when I get home and seeing if it will download. One small problem though. Does anyone know how fast it will download using a reqular phone connection with AOL? I got two files from someone using AIM in the course of about an hour and a half and since the person signed off I was unable to get the rest and lost it all. Any ideas would be helpful. Unfortunately still living at home so leaving the comp on when I am away from it is not an option.

Ok. Also wanted to know if once the files are downloaded they can be immediately burned onto a blank CD via a burner and also if they need to be changed into MP.3 format. Does it take 2 cd's to get the whole thing?

Does it take 2 cd's to get the whole thing? Yes, they can be immediately burned to 1 cd, they're well under 700MB in the mp3 format. However, you won't be able to play them in a regular cd player while they're mp3s; you'd have to convert them to wav files and I'm sure they're listed disk 1 & 2 for a reason -> uncompressed they're gonna be real big and you'll need 2 cds. I haven't actually converted them myself so I can't tell you exactly what the uncompressed filesize is.

I tried to connect this morning... Angel's server is up, but I get a login failure. Either the login name or password has been changed, to what I don't know... the only other thing I could think of is a quota cap or the ftp server only allows 1 connection per session.

Hi everyone..... I'm back. It's all settled. My friend hosts the tracks on his PC and the following note contains the instructions to how proceed: This is the correct procedure to download the EQ soundtrack: We have thought that making one big zip file containing all the 51 tracks might be a good idea to simplify the searching through file sharing servers. First of all, you should download from the website: www.winmx.com or www.frontcode.com a software called: "winmx331.exe". (this is absolutely free). (If you have already used this software you can skip the following information and go to the end of these lines). This is a very simple and intuitive file sharing software. As you know, no file is placed on any server, but just on the client machine running this software. The sharing procedure is simple: you share a single/more directories containing all the files you like to be searchable and downloadable from external users. After that, the client connects to frontcode server (that's a default setting, you don't have to adjust any parameter). So you just have to install winmx331.exe, (please share a folder with some interesting files!) and search (with the "search" tab) for the file you need with the following keywords: "equilibrium" and "soundtrack" (actually the filename is "equilibrium - soundtrack.zip.mp3", so you just need the keywords) There are some chances you may not see the file immediately. If so, please wait for a while and try searching again. When in the lower window the "equilibrium - soundtrack.zip.mp3" is displayed, then click with the right button and choose DOWNLOAD, and wait for the queue you are now part of. After you have downloaded it, you have to rename it WITHOUT the extension .mp3, and expand the zip file to a preferred folder. N.B. If your internet connection goes through a NAT/FIREWALL/PROXY, please be sure that all the TCP ports winmx need are opened and correctly routed. For more information please use google.com search engine to discover what configuration you have to set on your NAT/FIREWALL/PROXY. I confirm you it will work..... I've just tried to find it (writing the word "equilibrium" only) and I found it. Hope this can help some of you.

OK, here is where I stand on the soundtrack. I downloaded the ftp file and was actually able to connect to it partially before the site informed me the password was wrong and I did use both lower and uppercase. So then I decided to download the WinMX and was actually able to connect. One problem arose though. When I searched for Equilibrium as instructed it gave me 1 file of 5. How do I go about getting the rest? The others are not showing at all. Any suggestions? Also on a side note I would like to thank everyone for all there help. Everyone has been super nice and helpful and I totally appreciate it. Thanks! ;D Its good to know that there are helpful and nice people still out there in this world!

It's very strange because I was told there is one file only (which contain the whole 51 tracks)...... Uhm... I'm going to ask him and then I'll report his statement. Oh.... it's a real pleasure for me to share this lovely stuff with someone who appreciates EQ so much like me.

Wel I kept getting logged off of WinMx and not able to finish the download so I don't know what's up with that but thanks for posting that anyway. I like WinMX and would recommend it to others as an alternative to Kazaa. Anyway I want to give a BIG "THANK YOU" to Manimal. He has been awesome in sending me some of the files through email and it actually is going faster for me that way then just downloading the whole thing. So thanks Manimal. You rock! ;D
