If Dimension drove a truckload of money to his house, sure, he might come back to it; but what would that be like? Personally, if I were Wimmer I'm not sure I'd ever work for Dimension again!! When films from their parent company Miramax like Duplex & A View from the Top get priority treatment & ad placement over smaller films such as EQ I'm not sure I'd place my neck on the block for them again.

I agree, but remember, this was his directorial debut! (One Tough Bastard doesn't count!) They were taking a chance on him, too. I think, in the end though, they got more than what they paid for! I'd like to think he wouldn't take money, but truckloads sometimes do alot of talking...

Sometimes pointless sequels churned out to make money really annoy me. Take Final Destination for example, a perfectly good film with a self-encapsulating ending. It was popular so out comes another one, regardless of how perfect the end of the last one was. Bah. I tend to think that an EQ sequel wouldn't be a good idea, especially if it's only done for money. A prequel might be better. Maybe something about how Father rose to create Libria and how it became such a totalitarian society. I love the idea of Father as a tragic hero - his vision swept up in other peoples' greed. The road to hell is paved with good intentions, or so they say... Deimos

DuPont said in EQ that father had died a long time ago...
Maybe there was somekind of scheme by DuPont and the council to overthrow the 'good willing' father in the past, and it has been DuPont and the council acting as father for some time now brainwashing the people to suit their needs.
This is again why I would like to see a prequal ;D
