Preston always shoots people in the throat. Watch where he shoots DuPont. No, he shoots DuPont in the chest, I believe.

No he doesn't, he gets shot in the chest. Right thru the neck tie. Just had another look to be sure. I can't see any wound in his neck at all. Are you certain? If it's through the necktie, wouldn't it be through the throat? When Partridge's body is shown in Preston's dream, the bullet wound is visible in the neck, just before he slides into the fire.

Nice to see someone picked up my reference!! Happens to be one of my favourite bands, ever since I heard their song on the PS2/Xbox game: Spyhunter (The Remade one) I had to get my hands on one of their albums :>

Yes, but what about the shot in Preston's dream, where the bullet hole is visible in Partridge's neck? I was only ever talking about DuPont at the end.

This what people are talking about. . . ? I believe so. I'm always surprised how many people miss it though less so now that the DVD is out.

What's even funnier is that one of the chapter names on the dvd is something along the lines of "Partridge gets a tracheotomy." I thought more people would have known about that, and thus would have known where to look.

I thought more people would have known about that, and thus would have known where to look. Actually that is a title that one of the fans here on this site gave the sequence when listing the "kill count." Well, now that my new EQ DVD has shipped in, I've looked at all the sequences in Equilibrium that have Preston killing somebody and have calculated the total body count. Pitch Black Justice- 22 Partridge gets a trachiotomy- 1 Puppy Shootout- 13 Sector 7 Beat Down- 8 Not Without Incident- 9 Hallway Deliverance- 53 DuPont's Office slice-n-dice- 8 Brandt's Ownage- 1 DuPont gets capped- 1 Preston's Hegemony- 2 Total body count- [glow=crimson,2,425]118 DEAD PEOPLE... HOLY CRAP![/glow] I don't think Arnold Shwarzenegger's killed that many people in his entire movie career! PS.- If I've miscounted I'd like to know. The real chapter title on the DVD is "A Heavy Cost." Sorry about that!!!

I'm suprised noone has shown this: This what people are talking about. . . ? I was looking for that photo to show it!! For me, it's clear. But the first time I saw the film I thought it was a mistake, as lot of people do.

I think there are a lot of things people miss the first time they see the film. I certainly did.

Partridge got shot in the throat, just above the pectoral bone, which means that the bullet must have hit the spine, as a hole in the throat isnĀ“t lethal.

As some of you thought, I too thought that Partridge was shot in the head. Now I see it was indeed the neck, thanks to the screen caps. I will watch EQ again just to see it *coughs* Christian Bale *coughs* again .
