I have it under that style, but the group was actually the Dartmouth Aires. www.dartmouth.edu/~aires/Rockapella was the only reason I used to watch "Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?" I love their version of Long Cool Women In a Black Dress (part of this playlist).

Ah. They did Carmen San Diego? Damn, more to download. Yay!
And yeah, when my friend sent it to me, it said "Dartmouth Aires" as well. Still frickin' wicked though.

Bought the soundtrack to Underworld and Sisters of Mercy Greatest Hits Volume 1 today. Both awesome CD's, although there are 2 tracks which I don't particularily like on Underworld OST. Walked into my local MVC store today looking for the Underworld Soundtrack and they were playing the Sisters of Mercy CD, so naturally I had to buy it! ;D

Both awesome CD's, although there are 2 tracks which I don't particularily like on Underworld OST. Really? I seem to be the opposite there...I didn't buy that soundtrack because I listened to it at Music World, and I wasn't a fan of the emo-ish singing/slow "metal". The only song I like (make that love) is "Awakening" by the Damning Well. I think that song woulda been a lot better if they'd been able to settle the contract disputes with Amy Lee for the better. That would have rocked.

I like Allison Krauss. I didn't know her until I heard the Twister soundtrack, there's a track from her on it.
In my CD player there's still Screaming Headless Torsos. Can't stop it, it's gggggrrrrrhhh......

A truly excellent track, which unfortunately I can't remember the damn name of. Hold on, let me just check ....... oh yeah, that's it 'Puscifer - Rev 22:20, (featuring Maynard James Keenan, Danny Lohner). Renholders tracks, although not very long are gorgeous tracks too, he actually has about 4 different tracks on the CD all of which only last about 1min each, give or take. My other favorites are Awakening (good title ), by the Damning Well and a track called 'Suicide Note' by Johnette Napolitano, which is a very haunting song. Anyway, after all that I've had The Sisters of Mercy, Greatest Hits vol 1 blasting through all corners of the house today. Brilliant stuff!! ;D

The new Kaiser Chiefs album. It's not bad, but not as good as I expected. The two singles released so far are amazing but the rest of the album is only so-so. Can't wait for the release of the debut album from my favourite new band though - 10,000 Things. www.10000things.tv Been waiting for it since they laid waste to the V Festival last summer. Should be excellent when it's out! Deimos

A friend just told me about a punk band called "Me First and the Gimme Gimmes" they do punk remakes of old songs. Currently listening to their versions of Wild World, Leaving on a Jet Plane, Time After Time, and I Believe I Can Fly. In the queue are Mrs. Robinson, Uptown Girl, I Get Around, Walking on Sunshine, My Favorite Things(!), and something from Phantom of the Opera ;D I'm looking forward to hearing these I've always had a soft spot for punk rock...

A friend of mine's husband is a Hammond organ player in a blues formation called 'Pure Blues'. I'm listening to a compilation of their songs, from different albums, she has written it for me. Their singer has a perfect American accent, although he's Hungarian. The other guys are masters of their instruments too, and that makes a perfect blues feeling, definitely EC-10 material.

Nabbed Disclaimer II off a friend at the college, and it's been getting heavy play for a good four or five days now. I even printed out tabs for every song. These guys are amazing.

"A rough guide to Scottish Music". On this CD there are cca. 12 songs from different contemporary scottish bands/musicians. I knew only one of them, Capercaillie, because I heard them playing on our last year's Scotland holiday. The whole album is fantastic, tradition meets today.

Got hold of even more songs by the Gimme Gimmes. If you like it fast and loud and you love electric guitars, and if you love old songs and have a sense of humor, you really have got to hear these guys ;D they are a bunch of guys from different bands (NoFX, Foo Fighters, Lagwagon) who do this in their free time. I'm currently listening to a punked up version of Hava Nagila that they recorded live at a bar mitzvah ;D Some free MP3s here: home.hetnet.nl/~boeradje/mfatgg/multimedia/multimedia.htmlIndex of that site: home.hetnet.nl/~boeradje/mfatgg/index.html

I must have mentioned this at least 30 times already today.
I just downloaded the new Limp Bizkit single. For those of you who thought Results May Vary sucked (Firstly, no, it didn't. It was an interesting change), this is...NOTHING like RMV. Or any of their other stuff, for that matter. "The Truth" is one of their best songs. Musically, at least. I'll have to get used to Fred in this one.
Check it out. It rocks.

Red Planet OST. I didn't like the film, but the soundtrack is a must. I've bought it without seeing the movie, after a few minutes of listening to it. Now I'm looking for the OST of Constantine. Klaus Badelt, BTW.....
