Love the tree, Libby! It reminds me of my mother's. I think some of her decorations are that old, too. You have a gorgeous space there!

Lovely family! Mum looks a little like Roslin from Battlestar, if you don't mind me saying. I've never seen the new Battlestar shows but I looked her up...hmmm... I'm flattered! Wow! With the pics side by side you look even more like her! I'm chartruese with envy

Just thought I'd post one of the photos from our son's Oxford Graduation...taken by the famous bridge at his college, Hertford.

Here is a whole lot of pictures from my Italy vacation. Most of the pictures are from Venice, but we took most of the pictures there, because it was the most special place, we've visited. The view from our balcony in Aprilia Marittima (near Lignano Sabbiadoro). View into another direction. Venice from the sea. The traditional flag of Venice with its remarkable and unusual design. Via Garribaldi, which is the more beautiful corner of the town to me, because in this direction you won't have too many tourists and can see the typical life of the town. The birthplace of John Cabot. A typical street there. A beautiful park at a quiet corner of the town, which could be my favourite place of the town. A water street. In the background you can see the "Leaning Tower of Venice". ;D The proof that I've been there... Piazza San Marco. Gondoliere. They refused to sing on that day, because Micheal Jackson died two days before... Me in front of the Rialto Bridge. Canale Grande. A strange guy on the Piazza San Marco, who was laying on the ground and quiet a lot of doves were running across him to pick up the pieces of bread he had on his chest. Some kind of good show, but what would he do if these birds would... sh** on him? A nice picture taken in the Alpines on the way back. These mountains were so amazing, but we were driving in a bus and most of the pictures aren't well done because of the steady movement. By the way, this is my 1000th post on the boards... ;D ;D ;D

Fantastic pics, jay! Brought back a lot of memories...
I think the gondoliers not singing is a typical Italian ploy...I'll bet they didn't reduce their extortionate prices accordingly...
And congrats on the 1000th post.

Thought I'd post this one for immediate release, as we continue landscaping work ... Final Score: Man 1, Stump 0!
