I always prefer to hear the original language and have subtitles...when I watched movies like House of Flying Daggers, Crouching Tiger,Hidden Dragon and Hero I watched them all in their native tongue with subtitles - so much more beautiful.

The first EQ's Russian dub I heard (a TV-version, BTW!) made me wriggle and giggle nervously.

All I know is that only a hand full of movies can pull of the dubbing but the majority just can't it's painfully bad to hear it. I saw Night Watch for the first time and when I heard the English dubbing I said to myself "OH NO" so I put the film back to it's original language. The movie was OK bur I want to see if Day Watch would be better.

Mr George Clooney might do if I were casting a new Father. He'd be way too expensive of course though.

If we get enough names I might start a poll. It'd be cool if you could rig a poll so you could make multiple selections, like say three or four, out of a field of thirty or forty.

I'd like to see Kate Beckinsale would be a great female cleric. (I loved Underworld too ) I think Gary Oldman would be a great new "father", because no one can better act the villain. A very funny idea I think would be Arnold Schwarzenegger. You would recognize him in scenes like the tube scene of EQ. From my point of view they are really worth a serious thought.

Or Arnie as Father ... with his background as a Governator he'd be able to do that. I can hear it now ... "Now ve ahh at peace vit ahhselfs undt humankindt iss vun. Voah iss gohn ... Libbrianss, you haff vun. Agaynst all oddz, undt yoah oun natures, you--haff--surfifdt! Hasta la vista babies."(WITH the shades, natch.)

I think Cate Blanchett would also be quite good as a female Cleric / administrator. she can be really cool and understated if need be, but she's also gorgeous and fits into that chic Libria that we see in the movie.

I dunno ... I think of Clerics as being ... well, I find it difficult picturing a Cleric First Class under about the age of 25. Personally I think of Clerics as having to be forbidding and remote ... figures of menace. With Mr Ackles, my first impulse is to shake his hand, slap him on the back, and ask him how his exams went and whether he's thinking of grad school or not. ;D

well, Jensen could always be second class. Christian was the same age when he did EQ. That's true ... on the other hand these pics could have been taken awhile ago. He just strikes me as having a sort of college-kid look about him. Not everybody looks their age ... I've gotten accustomed to people asking my son if he's enjoying his day out with Grandpa.
