SATURDAY FEBRUARY 3RD 2007 3:00pm

I am hoping for a matinee performance, but if not, the film will be screened at 6:00pm

at the Heap Lecture Theatre at Derby University

I have 40 free seats reserved

**********************

Here are links to zip files for directions and some info if you require it. Drop me a PM if there's something you need to know. :)

This one has just the directions & City centre map;
http://www.coppermountain.me.uk/Directions_Map.zip

This one has accommodation & the directions & City centre map
http://www.coppermountain.me.uk/Accommodation_Information.zip

HOWEVER since my initial enquiry, I was informed last week that the Metro Cinema is moving to new premises over the Christmas holidays and the screening will be at the Heap Lecture Theatre at Derby University. A bigger screen - YEY! heheheh!
So directions on how to get there:
http://sparg.derby.ac.uk/SPARG/SPARG_HowToFindUs.asp

and it will not be at the Green Lane venue.

I am still waiting to hear if they'll be making it a matinee performance for me, which I hope they can, to accommodate anyone travelling on public transport. It still gets dark early at that time of year. If they can't then it'll be a 6:00pm screening.

I automatically get 40 seats reserved. If you want a reserved seat, drop me a PM, or just take pot luck if you like. :P The remainder of seats are open to the public, but this is our day and we're gonna seize it with both hands (it's the UK, I can't point guns at it)

AWESOME!!! Good luck with that Friv. That's exactly what I want to do here in the USA for EQ's 5th anniversary but for me no other Bale film would do. It would have to be EQ or nothing though I do love Reign of Fire.

I expect pictures. ;)

Not if I'm trying to do an "anniversary" screening...no. I'm really not a huge "Begins" fan though I do enjoy the film. I see so many list it as the best comic book film ever and I just do not agree. I would have to go with The Crow, Sin City, or Road to Perdition on that one.

I personlly don't think I would want to put that much work into getting another film screened...maybe Matrix or Gladiator. Also the few films I wish I had seen on the big screen...Memento, Fight Club, & The Crow. I can now cross Boondock Saints off that list. ;D

Thanks, Jen. ;D Our local cinema is being extremely helpful, and the price is really good. It has to be with my circumstances. I hope you get as good a deal for your 5th year anniversary screening. That gives me a year to try and save up. I would so love to come to that. :)

I will sulk like no-one ever in the history of sulking has ever sulked if I don't get EQ. :P :-[ I need to see GK 10' tall. :P

Never mind, Mira :( , but if you want to nearer the time, and can, just come along. ;D

Well, I'd love to have other fans be able to experience what I did when I went to Atlanta for the CHUD screening of EQ. Wimmer attended that one with a Q&A. It was absolutely awesome!!! I'll never forget it as long as I live. I wish you guys could have been there!!!

JenGe papo you are my idol for saying that The Crow is one of the best adapted comic book movie ever. I am a huge fanatic when it comes to The Crow I got the posters the statues and all of the movies except for The Crow: Wicked Prayer that was one of the worst sequels I have ever seen. But still Batman begins is one of the best out there and I think this and The Crow and Sin City makes my top three list in comic book movies.

Permit me to extend sanguinary acknowledgement for this event ... but be cautioned: it is NOT to be turned into an excuse for sense-offence. Libria Code Title VI, Section 17, paras 3,5, and 11, dealing with staging of events for citizen instruction, will be enforced ... by myself, or by other Clerics ...

Agreed about The Crow. It's one of my favorite movies.

I wish I could make it to your EQ screening, Friv. :(

JenGe, is your screening going to be in England? December 2007 just might give me enough time to arrange the trip, though I can't make promises.

There's already a crowd of us from the Christian Bale board going, including people from abroad - huge kudos to them for coming all that extra distance. It'd be great to have EQ fans from here piling in too.

I was told initially that tickets are £5, but I'll check on that tomorrow.

Let's give dreary Derby a big shake up. It could do with it. :P

*end of sensible* :-[

w.lirn;pwei ;qopr;pbi wl I'm finally gonna get to see the Cleric HUGE and kickin' ass like no other man can. :-* :-[ :-*

hehehehee, Mira, I'm sure we can 'sweep' the area before hand.
When I have a better idea of numbers, I'll make sure we bags the best seats, afterall, at the risk of repeating myself - this is our day.

I'll do a Dupont on anyone who gets in my way (as long as Preston is backing me up, and not opposing me - I'm not tackling him when he's in full on Cleric mode. - more than happy to tackle the SO mode Preston though - mwhahahahhaha)

I believe JenGe's screening, if and when it happens, is supposed to be in the States. Correct me if I'm wrong Jen?

That would be cool if it was in the States - double my pleasure, double my fun ;) ;D -

Thanks for all the info Friv! - It'll be a fun day for certain and students be warned if they get in our way - I'm not afraid to use a little muscle and some very kind words to get past the students lol ;) ;D

See you guys there then ;) ;D
