 Lisa's brown cereals
« Thread Started on Nov 7, 2009, 1:11pm »

Don't know if this random curio has been brought up before? Does anyone know what kind of cereals have been used for Lisa's breakfast in the movie?

I was just skimming through the DVD to a particular scene and noticed that the stuff in her bowl looks exactly like the chocolate cereals I used to eat. ;D

I'm not sure, although it reminds me of a cereal Weetabix used to make years ago. It looks a lot like Weetabix Crunchy Bran actually except I think Crunchy Bran is a lighter brown colour than the one in the film. It's also possible it could have been a German breakfast cereal as a lot of the movie was shot in Germany.

Interesting. It probably makes sense to use something that US movie audiences will not instantly recognize.

Then I would suggest my beloved Kellogg's Chocos (http://www.leshop.ch/images/ProductsBig/5050083122323.JPG) as a potential candidate. ;D

I do not remember ever seeing this outside of Germany and Switzerland. So I assume it is not available in the UK / US?

Correct. Though Chocos bear a passing resemblance to the old Coco Krispies of the UK, the Chocos bear looks nothing like old Snuff the puppy.
