The dimensions and placem, ent of the arm/fingers are out of place. The drawing its self is very rough with little to no detail except on the gun which is distorted. Its an alright background, that has nothing to do with the render...

Pretty neat I am curious about one thing though; is there any particular reason why the Cleric's bald, or did you just decide to do it that way?

Hmmm....we have a little saying in the school where I teach.
'If you can't say anything nice...don't say anything at all.'
Given that you have a fiction on the boards, I'd be bit more circumspect if I were you...
Personally, I like Fletcher's work...

'If you can't say anything nice...don't say anything at all.'
If we used that motto in the art world. Unfortunately, no one would progress. Its been proven in many cases that being told what is wrong with the art, will sink in more than 'OMFG IT IS AMAZING!'. He/She may now concentrate on the arm placement, the detail taken to the actual body, etc etc.. To create better work. No where did I say 'You suck' or 'this is awful' or 'never do art again' or 'This isn't art'. I just pointed out the flaws. You actualy see a problem with that?

No...I have no problem with 'flaws' being pointed out (I probably have many myself ) and agree that we do often learn by mistakes. It's just that fletcher put a lot of time and effort into the piece and since we're a friendly bunch here, I felt you might have been a little more constructive (and maybe a bit friendlier) in your criticism..it did come across (to me at any rate) as a tad harsh. Are you a professional artist? Most of us around here just enjoy trying stuff out and sharing...

It's not so much that you pointed out flaws, it's that you didn't say what, if anything, you actually liked about the work. So instead of seeming constructive it just comes across as nit-picky and a bit mean-spirited. With that kind of "critique" you don't have to say "it sucks" because it's implied by the lack of any positive comments.
Just my 2 centavos.

Glad you've got critic-proof rhino skin! Most of us try to be friendly, no one wants to discourage or offend someone brave enough to post their stuff and generous enough to share it.
Looking forward to seeing more from you.

Thirded. We try to explain what we like and what we don't like about a piece so that we don't come across as a group of pretentious nit-wits. Some of us work as professionals in the various industries and some of us are teachers and so on.
It is good to see that you do have a critic proof skin there fletcher and welcome to the forums
