 New Equilibrium fanart
« Thread Started on May 1, 2006, 7:20pm »

Hey, I drew this today and I thought maybe I'd share :-[. It's a quick sketchy thing of the character I play in my RPG named Cleric Shane Ramson.

Here's the link:

In case you were wondering, the thing on his eye is a night-vision lens that connects to the headpiece in his ear. I'm afraid this is as good as it gets for now. I hope to be able to scan it tomorrow so maybe the picture will be a little better quality. Maybe someday I'll be motivated enough to draw in some Resistance fighters and stuff... ???
Hope you like it!

Yeah, I have this great pencil that I use specifically for shading. It's actually just paper rolled into the shape of a small two sided pencil, with no lead in it, that uses the existing lead and spreads it. I couldn't live without it! ::)

Well done! I like the shading...and at first glance he looks like a pirate, lol. A pirate cleric! :D

Wow, thanks! I feel so special, having my artwork on the interweb and all. This is actually the first time I've posted any artwork to anything in all my 15 years so I am very honored ::)
And yes, I agree the night-vision lens thingy does give him a one-eyed pirate look!

You know, not to insult- but rolling your eyes is a sign of sarcasm in most countries.

They call me Brother Bishop... Guide to the lost and the damned. I always put them in their place, be it with gentle hand, or with lead and steel. You talk of disease, but what of the disease that you and I both carry? Emotion. The only difference between you and I brother, is that I have the cure in my veins... Prozium.

...and nit-picking is a sign of a troll on many boards...

Cleric Lienna...nice art work. My daughter also thinks seeing one's art on internet boards is really cool, especially when one sees how many hits there are!

I'm giving Brother Bishop the benefit of the doubt here. I didn't see any offence and just saw his post as a simple explanation of a particular emoticon.

The preaching to the choir section (I know all y'all regulars know this):

It's good to know what the emoticons imply since it's so easy to misinterpret someone's meaning. They aren't just cute and decorative, but they are part of board communication. I've been on more than enough forums where people innocently didn't know what emoticons meant what, and did wierd stuff with caps and numbers, AND KEPT TYPING IN ALL CAPS WITHOUT REALIZING IT MEANS SHOUTING.

Now if there is some other agenda going on, I'm not part of it. I'm too busy packing boxes!

Cleric Lienna: Keep drawing, and keep us posted! ;D

Yes...perhaps you're right Aikido Al and I could be overreacting. However, I think the whole point of the thread is Cleric Lienna's art - which wasn't commented on in any way shape or form - not a possible misunderstood use of an emoticon.

Happy packing btw!

teehee, that thread went in directions I never would have imagined. Sorry about the misuse of the emoticon thingy; I thought that one kinda looked like a bashful sort of look. I guess I'll have to be more careful in the future! ;)

I hope to have another pic soon but I've been swamped with life; you know how that goes. I hardly ever get a chance to draw! Ah!
